MI Demo’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Kari Ala-Kaila as the CEO of the company as of 1 June 2020. Mr. Ala-Kaila is currently working for Metsä Fibre Ltd in the role of VP, Technology.
MI Demo Ltd is a 50/50 joint venture between Metsä Spring Ltd and Japanese ITOCHU Corporation. MI Demo has built a demo plant in Äänekoski, Finland for the production of textile fibres using paper-grade pulp. The demo plant is now in the start-up phase. Metsä Fibre, Metsä Spring and MI Demo all belong to Metsä Group.
